This one is the real tear jerker for me.... how did my youngest start Pre-school last week!? Im currently an empty nester from 9-11 am! I missed my little side kick on thursday but am so happy he is attending Village preschool where Bennett went. He was so excited for Pre-school, not a tear was shed!
On Tuesday the parents were asked to stay with their kiddos for the whole class... sadly Weston asked me to leave him at his "big boy school" 30 minutes into class. Sad! I guess it could be worse... a few of the other parents had to physically carry their little ones kicking and screaming into the classroom... one little boy was actually hanging on to the door jam!! Hopefully that gets better or else it is going to be a long year!
Once we were in class we took a tour, met the teachers (Weston already knew them from Bennett) and started class. We made a paper plate portrait, played play dough and then played with all the fun cars in the room. Weston is more than ready for this next step, I'm so proud of how well he adjusted to his new adventure!
On Thursday, he strutted right up to the classroom gave mommy a hug and a kiss and went right to work on his ABC work book. His teacher Mrs. McGuire called me after class and told me what a rock star Weston was... she said he listened amazingly and was a leader in the classroom.
Can't wait to see what this year has in store for Weston Reed!
